If you tell your senior team that your vision for the future of your company includes twice the number of completed projects per year and not only with the same number of employees but with precisely the same individuals that the company employs today, every one of your direct-reports will hear your words and will understand the meaning that you attribute to your words.  Do this, and you will communicate your vision to your team.  Will you share your vision?  Hardly!  More likely, you will cause some of your people to wonder about the role of recreational drugs in your life. 
 
Sharing your vision of a richer future, with the rational and highly intelligent individuals who report to you, means not merely communicating your vision to them but having them embrace your vision as their own.  It means causing every one of them to hunger for that same richer future that makes you get your rooster out of bed every morning.  It means making your people want the achievement and the accompanying sense of great satisfaction so intensely that they, all, get out of bed even earlier than you every day.  Sharing a vision of worth is not a small task, tanks to one roadblock of substantive size:  ... healthful skepticism. 

Before you can energize your people, to pursue your vision with a fervor that makes it their own, they have to know that your highly desirable vision is solidly planted in the science of facts and not in the fancy of fiction.  They have to know that your future of wealth can be reached, that it is attainable by them and by you, mere mortals all.  One thing alone causes people to know, when others at best might believe:  Experience!
