Information-Based Planning

about

According to many authors, a useful plan for a project includes the following components:
  1. statement of the project's goals
  2. list of deliverables
  3. work-breakdown-structure (WBS)
  4. network-diagram
  5. resource-plan
  6. schedule
  7. financial plan
  8. communication-plan
  9. risk-management plan
  10. and more, depending on the author

However long any author's list might be, the network-diagram is central to the operational, temporal, and financial aspects of every project.  Yet, one is hard-pressed to find an answer the following question:  "By what process does one build the network-diagram of a project?"

This two-hour event teaches a highly effective process for building an appropriately detailed network-diagram for any project.  After a brief presentation of the underlying principles and process-steps, the process is used to construct the network-diagram for one participant's small project.  The remaining participants may assist, ask questions, or merely observe.

Attendance for this on-line event is via GoToMeeting.  Before the meeting, registered participants receive an e-mail with a link that provides access to the meeting.
